Meet Your Editor

Hi, I’m Katherine Faroh, founder of The Author’s Ally.

I’m an editor, writer, and content strategist with more than 10 years of professional editorial experience. Throughout my career, I’ve written and edited everything from ecommerce content and website copy to blogs, email campaigns, and product listings across a wide range of industries, including beauty, home goods, fashion, toys, outdoor products, and more.

As an avid reader and lifelong lover of storytelling, I’ve always been drawn to the power of a well-crafted narrative. That passion eventually led me back to books and the world of author services. Today, I help writers strengthen their manuscripts through developmental editing, manuscript critiques, and editorial assessments.

As a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and a graduate of the University of Washington’s Developmental Editing Certificate Program, I combine professional editorial training with a genuine love of books and the writing process. Whether you’re polishing a novel, revising a memoir, or shaping a nonfiction project, my goal is to provide honest, actionable feedback that helps you move forward with confidence.

When I’m not editing, you’ll probably find me in my art studio, volunteering in the local arts community, or curled up with a good book.
